Abstract


A transformational leader is a term used to describe a person who posesses qualities that can change a situation by influenecing the thoughts and ideas of other to create a predetermined outcome. The mojor role or a transformational leader is to become a mediator between two individual parties, and in business it's usually management's responsibility to create a well balanced environment.


The definition of a transformational leader can be translated in so many different ways, yet somehow all the interpretations remain the same. Clearly there are quite a few commonalities associated with its definition that all the articles can inter-relates with each


other. "Hines defined transformational leadership as the ability, willingness, and courage to influence change within the fundamental core of how people think and


behave"(Varricchionne, 001). She then states that a problem cannot be resolved if it isn't properly define ,so she categorize them distinctly as a situation, behavior, impact, and an action. "By clearly defining a problem, we are better able to identify the actions needed to achieve a desired outcome. Although these qualities doesn't neseccarily define what transformational leadersip is it does define the qualities they need. Leaders expect problems and great leaders solve them. Every problem has a solution and every situation has an outcome. People have different ideas , thoughts and perspectives on everything. A leader has the ability to focus everyone's effort and sense of dedication or loyalty to accomplish a common goal. A great leader can create an environment where their work can inspire others.
