Of mice and men, was the type of novel that is a thriller. Of mice and

will be presented in the next few paragraphs includes the expostition,
complications, the turning pint, and also the resolution of the story. This tale is
about two men. Many emotions and feelings occured throughout this story.
The first part of this story is called the basic situation, also known as the
exposition. The opening of this story introduces the characters, George and
Lennie. George, small, quick, and also intelligent, Lennie, man of
tremendous size, and mind of a yound child. Together they get a job where they
can make money and eventually afford a place of their own. Well at least thats
what they longed for...
The second part of the plot includes the comlications that occured. this is the
part of the story in which the main characters take action to resolve the conflict.
Throughout this story, the problems varied on severity. Lennie caused the many
of them. Some, only because a simple touch of something, or even a
word out of his mouth. Lennie is a very sensitive man, and even seems harmless.
Unfortunately, theintensity of his strength harmed many things. Many consisting
of animals, and at some point, people. Even causing death. Some of the biggest
complications that occured had a lot to do with Curley. From the day that George
and Lennie net Curley, there was drama and trouble. Curley has a wife who flirts
with all the men, and she seemed to cause trouble too! Curley and Lennie faught
and with one hand, Lennie breaks about every bone in Curleys fingers. This was
an example of Lennies strength.
The next plot of this story introduces the turning point. This is the key scene
of the story, where you realize what the outcome of the conflict is going to be, and
there is no turning back. The turning point of this tle occured when Lennie killed
Curleys wife. From just a simple touch of her soft hair, resulted in a lifetime of
death. The outcome of this tragity was deppressing. Lennie was petrified of what
had just happened so he ran to the place hed promised hed go if he got into
mischeif. The men try to find Lennie for violent situation to occur. George goes
to the brush by the river, and finds Lennie. He distracts Lennie by talking to him
about the beautiful place theyd go someday run to. He shot Lennie in the back of
the head, where he will not suffer but in an instant pass on.
My opinion of this novel was very positive. I enjoyed reading this book
except for the end. I was disapointed that Lennie was killed, but also glad that he
was not tortured my the other men. It was almost like he was put out of his
misery, like Candys dog. I would recommend this book to others.
